Dinh Dien is currently the Director of the Computational Linguistics Center at the University of Science, Vietnam National University of HCM City, and an Associate Professor (granted in 2007) at the Knowledge Engineer Department of Information Technology Faculty at the University of Science, Vietnam National University of HCMC.

Assoc. Prof. Dinh Dien is interested in Building (automatically) Annotated Parallel Corpora and Exploiting them for Machine Translation, Computer-Assisted-Translation, Contrastive Linguistics, and teaching Vietnamese to Foreigners. He carries out many scientific research projects and owns scientific articles as well as international journals.

Son Pham did his undergraduate study in Applied Mathematics at Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. His bachelor thesis with researchers from Saint Petersburg and INRIA (the French research institute for digital sciences) studied Pagerank's damping factor and led to several factors of running time improvements for the Google web page ranking algorithm. He did his Ph.D. with Pavel Pevzner at UC San Diego and invented the notion of paired de Bruijn graph, which became the theoretical foundation for using read-pair in genome assembly. He, together with Pavel Pevzner (UCSD) and Phillip Compeau (CMU) taught the first bioinformatics course on Coursera with 20,000 students enrolled.

Son studied neuroscience in his postdoc at Salk Institute with Fred Gage and contributed to a finding published in Nature that detected mitochondrial abnormalities in young neurons from patients with bipolar disorder. After 1 year postdoc, he got faculty offers from 2 top research institutions but chose to become CEO and Chief scientist of BioTuring - a bioinformatics company that redefines bioinformatics analysis, solves challenging computational problems to understand and help cure human diseases. His team continuously breaks established world's leading benchmarks/records in bioinformatics algorithms.

Duc graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Information Science from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 2014, specialized in speech signal processing. He has been working on AI field for more than 10 years in both industry and academy.

Working at Zalo AI as a Data Science Manager, Duc is driving Zalo AI Lab to the mission of building AI-first products. He has been leading the lab to solve a wide range AI problems, from text, image, video to speech technologies. He is building AI Lab to be a strong AI foundation for the development of Zalo ecosystem.

Duc is also an inspirer in academy by working as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Science, Ho Chi Minh National University (HCMUS). His mission is to inspire young talents on AI and find a right direction to success.

Duy is currently the Associate Product Manager of the Kiki Project. He is the person to write the very first lines of code for this project.

After graduating from the Honor Program at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Science, Duy started learning to program very early and has achieved multiple prizes since high school, including 2 Third Prizes and 1 Second Prize at the National Olympiad in Informatics.
